In a collaborative effort to cultivate a culture of literature and learning among the youth, the government is set to work jointly with Bishwo Shahitto Kendro to promote reading habits across schools in the country.The initiative was discussed and finalized during a meeting between Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, the renowned founder of Bishwo Shahitto Kendro. The meeting took place at the Secretariat this afternoon.According to the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary, Atikur Rahman Ruman, the core of the discussion revolved around effective ways to encourage students to step away from their regular curriculum and develop a genuine, lifelong habit of reading books.

Prime Minister’s Adviser on Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman, was also present during the meeting.
