NCP Convener Nahid demands impeachment, arrest of President Shahabuddin

NCP leader and parliament‍‍`s opposition chief whip, Nahid Islam, today demanded the impeachment and arrest of President Mohammed Shahabuddin.

While visiting the graves of the martyrs of the Pilkhana massacre at the Banani Military Graveyard in the afternoon, the National Citizen Party convener said the president did not take effective measures to prevent the mass killings of July 2024. Hence, he cannot avoid responsibility for it.

"He should be impeached in the first session of the parliament. Then he should be arrested for the July mass killings," he added.
