Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdho has resigned from his post as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation.
He made the announcement at a press conference after a board meeting, chaired by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, who is also the president of the foundation, at the State Guest House Jamuna 8 May.
Snigdho is the twin brother of July Uprising martyr Mir Mugdho, who was shot dead while distributing food, water and biscuits during the July uprising.
He was appointed CEO of the foundation on 21 October 2024. The foundation was formed to ensure the welfare of the families of the uprising martyrs and provide financial and humanitarian support to the families of victims
