IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony: It is expected to be a star-studded spectacle at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens where the IPL opening ceremony is scheduled to begin on March 22.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 opening ceremony is set to feature Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Salman Khan. Shah Rukh Khan will attend as his team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), plays the opening match, while Salman Khan might appear to promote his upcoming film, Sikandar.
Other celebrities expected to attend include Vicky Kaushal, Shraddha Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt, along with Katrina Kaif, Ananya Panday, Madhuri Dixit, Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Sara Ali Khan.
The ceremony will have performances by Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Karan Aujla, Disha Patani, Shraddha Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan. American pop band OneRepublic, known for their recent collaboration with Karan Aujla and Disha Patani on the song Tell Me, has also been approached to perform.
IPL 2025, the 18th edition of the tournament, will begin with a match between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The tournament will feature 74 matches across 13 venues, concluding with the final on May 25.
The ten participating teams are Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
With a combination of cricket, entertainment, and star power, the IPL 2025 opening ceremony is expected to be a grand event.
