N Korea slams Israeli attacks on Iran as ‘crime against humanity’

North Korea has sharply condemned Israel’s recent military strikes on Iran, describing the attacks as a “crime against humanity” and warning the United States and European nations against escalating the conflict in the Middle East.

In a statement issued Thursday by its Foreign Ministry and published through state-run news agency KCNA, Pyongyang expressed “serious concern” over the Israeli offensive, which it claimed had led to widespread civilian casualties. “Israel’s killing of civilians is an unpardonable crime against humanity,” the statement read.

The North Korean government accused Israel of committing “state-sponsored terrorism” and claimed its actions were increasing the likelihood of a “new all-out war” in the Middle East.

The condemnation comes amid an escalating conflict that began last Friday when Israel launched airstrikes it said were aimed at Iranian nuclear sites. Since then, missile exchanges between the two countries have continued for six consecutive days.

According to Iran, at least 224 people have died in Israeli attacks, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians. Israel, meanwhile, has reported 24 deaths, including civilians, and hundreds injured.

North Korea also took aim at Washington and its allies, accusing them of “fanning the flames of war” and undermining regional stability. “The current grave situation proves that Israel—backed by the US and the West—is acting as a cancer-like entity in the Middle East and is a principal destroyer of global peace,” the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.

The statement warned that U.S. and European support for Israel could push the region into an “uncontrollable catastrophic phase,” and criticized Western powers for questioning Iran’s right to self-defense.

North Korea‍‍`s remarks come as former U.S. President Donald Trump suggested his administration was losing patience with Tehran and hinted at possible military involvement alongside Israel. While he stated he hadn’t made a final decision on joining Israel’s campaign, Trump warned that Iran’s leadership could collapse if the war intensifies.

Pyongyang, a close ally of both Russia and Iran in recent years, has strongly opposed Western intervention in the Middle East. The latest statement further aligns North Korea with the anti-Western bloc amid growing global tensions.
