Vin Diesel welcomes CR7 to ‍‍`Fast & Furious‍‍` universe

Hollywood superstar Vin Diesel has confirmed that football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will make a cameo in the next and final film of the "Fast & Furious" franchise.

Confirming the matter on 13 December, Diesel shared a photo with Ronaldo on Instagram and wrote, "Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you he is a real one. We wrote a role for him."

The post went viral right away, drawing comments from surprised fans of both worlds.

This will mark the five-time Ballon d‍‍`Or winner‍‍`s Hollywood debut.

Fellow cast member Tyrese Gibson also welcomed Ronaldo to the franchise in an Instagram post earlier today (18 December), saying, "Welcome to the FAMILY! @CristianoRonaldo the GLOBAL DANCE JUST WENT INTO NEW HEIGHTS!!!!!"

However, many have pointed out that the photo of Ronaldo and the Fast & Furious cast shared by Gibson was made with artificial intelligence.This 11th instalment of the globally-loved franchise will be the final one, Diesel himself confirmed back in February 2024.The movie, currently titled "Fast Forever", as revealed by Diesel, is likely to be released in 2027. It will be directed by Louis Leterrier and set to have its star-studded cast return for one final run.

Featuring sports stars in his movies is not new for Vin Diesel. In 2017, Neymar Jr appeared in "xXx: Return of Xander Cage", showing off his football skills and taking down a bad guy.
