Palestine made its historic Miss Universe debut as Nadeen Ayoub took the Bangkok stage in a striking tatreez-embroidered national costume, celebrating her cultural heritage and marking a milestone for the nation on the global pageant platform.
In a historic debut for Palestine at the Miss Universe pageant, Nadeen Ayoub unveiled her national costume during the preliminary competitions in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 74th Miss Universe event marks the first time Palestine has participated in the global beauty contest.
Ayoub, a 26-year-old Dubai resident, used the platform to highlight her cultural roots through a meticulously designed outfit that blends tradition and symbolism.
Ayoub, who previously represented Palestine at Miss Earth 2023, was appointed as Miss Universe Palestine 2025 in August.
Born to Palestinian parents, she has lived in the UAE for most of her life and works as a marketing specialist.
The national costume competition, a highlight of Miss Universe preliminaries, saw Ayoub grace the runway in a creation that embodied Palestinian artistry.
Designed by Palestinian couturier Neveen El Kady, based in Dubai, the ensemble features a flowing white gown adorned with intricate tatreez embroidery; traditional Palestinian cross-stitch patterns symbolizing regional stories and heritage.
