Thailand’s Opal Suchata crowned Miss World 2025

Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri has won the title of Miss World 2025, bringing the prestigious crown to Thailand. The final event was held in Hyderabad, India, where she was selected from among contestants representing 108 countries. Ethiopia’s representative was named the first runner-up, followed by Poland in third place and Martinique in fourth. India’s Nandini Gupta, despite strong performances, did not make it to the top eight finalists.

Opal Suchata was previously crowned Miss World Thailand 2025 on April 22. The announcement was made by Tero Entertainment and TPN Global, marking a significant step in her journey in the world of beauty pageants.

Born on March 20, 2003, in the coastal city of Phuket, Opal comes from a family involved in the hospitality industry. She is fluent in Thai, English, and Chinese. Her early education took place at Triam Udom Suksa School in Bangkok, where she focused on Chinese language studies. She is currently studying political science with a major in international relations at Thammasat University.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Opal has also been active in social advocacy. At the age of 16, she underwent surgery to remove a benign breast lump. This personal experience led her to launch a campaign titled “Opal For Her,” which raises awareness about breast health and early detection. Her campaign reflects her commitment to women’s health and empowerment, aligning with the values promoted by the Miss World platform.

The Miss World 2025 event included various rounds such as top model, talent, multimedia, sports, and beauty with a purpose, through which finalists were selected in stages leading up to the final announcement.
