Angelina Jolie made a glamorous return to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet on Friday, 16 May, marking her first appearance at the prestigious event in 14 years. The Oscar-winning actor, now 49, attended the world premiere of Eddington, a highly anticipated A24 film competing for Cannes’ top honour.
Sharing the spotlight with Hollywood heavyweights like Natalie Portman and Rooney Mara, Jolie dazzled in a strapless champagne-hued ballgown from Brunello Cucinelli’s Fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The understated elegance of her look was a nod to her signature classic style.
On the red carpet, Jolie posed alongside actress Marie Colomb and Cannes artistic director Thierry Fremaux, delighting photographers and fans alike. Her last appearance at Cannes was back in 2011 for The Tree of Life premiere.
Eddington, featuring a star-studded cast including Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, and Emma Stone, is already drawing critical buzz and marks Jolie’s return to the global festival circuit in striking fashion.
